Our Other Media Partners

Following our post the other day welcoming the 2012 BEST Business Awards' new media partner, Midlands Business Insider, the team here at BBA Towers wanted to remind all of those thinking of entering the awards of some of the other publicity opportunities on offer.

Because the awards have two other media partners in the form of top East Midlands radio station gem106 and the Chamber's own In Business Magazine.

In Business is distributed free to more than 4,000 businesses, including Chamber Members and the leading decision-makers in both the private and public sectors, each month  and is one of the leading business magazines in the East Midlands.

The distribution of the monthly, glossy magazine, utilises the Chamber's extensive database, ensuring that a copy of In Business finds its way into all of the county's leading businesses. As well as providing a broad range of business news and features, dozens of companies have discovered its potential to generate new business through the many advertising opportunities on offer.

In Business regularly covers stories about the BEST Business Awards and the companies which win them and all of those who enter this year and make the shortlist of finalists will receive coverage ahead of the awards nights in September and October.

If that's not enough, those that win will also feature in an awards night picture special later in the year.

All this publicity, in addition to publicity in the local press and coverage provided by our other media partners means that entering the BEST Business Awards really is a great way to raise the profile of your business.

So, what are you waiting for? Get your entries in now, before it's too late.

Chamber Welcomes Insider Magazine As Media Partner

The Team here at BBA Towers is delighted to welcome Insider Media on board as official media partner for the 2012 BEST Business Awards.

Insider is the UK's leading regional business-to-business media company. The company publishes several regional versions of Insider magazine - including one for the East Midlands - and has the UK’s largest regional business email news service.

Insider members are business owners, managing partners and business leaders. Insider Media reaches business decision makers across the country in print, in person and online.

The partnership will see Insider provide exclusive coverage of the awards throughout the 2012 campaign - including from the awards nights in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire in September/October.

Insider's Managing Director, Marlen Roberts, said: "Insider Media is delighted to be media partner and to support the Chamber in promoting this event and the winners of this year’s awards. As the only business magazine for this region, we are keen to hear from businesses attending the dinner who have important new developments they wish to publicise this year.  Our daily email newsletter is the perfect way to tell over 32,000 businesses about your good news so do contact us."

DNCC Chief Executive George Cowcher added: "We are really pleased to have Insider Media on board this year. As the leading business organisation in the East Midlands, it makes perfect sense to be working in partnership with one of the region's leading business magazines.

"The main aim of the awards is to celebrate the success of the business community in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. Working in partnership with Insider Media will help us to spread the message that business is strong, successful and vibrant in these two counties and we are immensely proud of all the companies that are based here."

If Hollywood came to BEST Business Awards Towers

So, the BEST Business Awards Team are starring in their very own video - so exciting!

But which celebrity stars would play which members of the Awards Team if Hollywood came to Best Business Awards Towers?

CAST LIST

Rachael Buxton played by Meryl Streep
Meryl Streep was a demanding and powerful, but glamorous fashion magazine editor in The Devil Wears Prada and we think she could pull off the versatile role of Rachael. Rachael demands quality but always looks great in the office! Prada is her middle name! No, not literally!

Jenny Markland played by Tina Turner
Tina played a fantastic character as Aunty Entity in Mad Max Beyond the Thunderdome. Another powerful and scary (at times) woman. According to Wikipedia, Entity is a glamorous, intelligent, cultured woman, who holds a hope of one day rebuilding society to its former glory. Plus we can just imagine Jenny singing one of Tina's songs at full pelt at some weekend party in a Tina wig!

Jade Whitemore played by Jessica Alba
This was hard but we figure that Jessica Alba is a bit of a geek, but also super cool  in her role in The Fantastic 4 and would work great as the geeky (but super cool, honest!) role of Jade.

Laura Cowley played by Jennifer Aniston
We all love Jennifer Aniston, she is the sweet girl next door and that's Laura to a tee. Always happy to help and a great laugh. Jennifer Aniston plays a ditzy role in Friends, not knowing how to use a washing machine - lets just say, Laura is not really sure either!

Jon Smart played by Michael C. Hall
Michael C. Hall is not your average Hollywood celeb and probably not that well known, but his intelligent, clever and workaholic role in Dexter suits well to the dedication and attention to detail that Jon shows in all his work. Without him we couldn't do what we do, just like the police dept. in Dexter couldn't solve the crimes that they solve without Dexter. Please note: Dexter's 'hobbies' are not parallel to Jon in anyway.

Lizzy Basterfield played by Cameron Diaz
Just like Cameron Diaz, Lizzy loves sports and getting stuck into any situation. Plus, Lizzy likes to think of herself as a crime-fighting, cat suit-wearing Charlie's Angel.

Lola Yates played by Julie Walters
Julie Walters is the perfect choice for Lola, she is fun and outgoing like her character in Mama Mia but also motherly like Mrs Weasly in Harry Potter.

Laurie Wootton played by Kate Winslet
Laurie is a wise and motherly team member. I can see her now rushing in and saving any one of us from a burning house on a private island beach!

Josh Hayden played by Will Ferrell
Josh recently asked, does it snow on the beach and after some discussion was confident that the snow did indeed stop at the edge of the beach! His conviction in his answer is reminiscent of Ron Burgundy in Anchorman. Therefore Will Ferrel is the obvious actor for Josh.

For now, we will leave you with this.....
